Russia, British Council banned as undesirable organization, ‘UK instigates wars’

(Adnkronos) – The British Council has been banned as an “undesirable organization” in Russia while Moscow accuses London of wanting to “instigate wars”. The Attorney General accused the organization of having tried to promote British interests “pretending to teach English” and of supporting the “LGBT movement” considered in Russia as an “extremist organization”. “Several projects have been put in place to systematically discredit the internal and external policies of the Russian Federation,” the complaint states. The definition of an undesirable organization outlaws the work of an organization and puts anyone who collaborates with it at risk of criminal convictions. According to the FSB, which provided the material necessary for the Prosecutor’s decision, London is “the main source of global crises, a provocateur and instigator of wars. It organizes coups, weakens not only its geopolitical enemies but also its closest allies, sets nations against each other and prevents the resolution of the bloody conflicts it has triggered”.
