Ukraine, London to supply Kyiv with 100,000 drones by April 2026

4 Giugno 2025

(Adnkronos) – The United Kingdom has pledged to provide Ukraine with 100,000 drones by April 2026, after stating that unmanned aerial vehicles have changed the way modern wars are fought. The drone package, worth £350 million (approximately €415 million), is part of a wider £4.5 billion (over €5 billion) military support initiative for Ukraine.

“The UK is stepping up its support for Ukraine by delivering hundreds of thousands more drones this year and completing a major milestone in the provision of essential artillery ammunition,” Defence Secretary John Healey said in a statement.

The increased drone support is timely, as it follows the success of the Ukrainian Spiderweb operation on June 1st. As part of the operation, the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) smuggled 117 drones into Russian territory, hitting four air bases and damaging 41 military aircraft.
