Turkey, 5.8 magnitude earthquake, 14-year-old girl dead

(Adnkronos) – A 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Marmaris area in the province of Mugla, in southwestern Turkey, during the night. According to Afad, the Turkish civil protection, the earthquake was recorded at 2:17 local time about ten kilometers from the coast of Marmaris. A 14-year-old girl died in Fethiye due to a panic attack, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed on X. In the province of Mugla, medical assistance was needed for 69 people. According to the official report, out of fear they tried to save themselves by jumping from above and 46 remain in hospital.
