(Adnkronos) – The first exit polls broadcast jointly by South Korea’s three main television stations – Kbs, Mbc and Sbs – predict that Lee Jae-myung, the center-left candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, will win the presidential election.
According to the surveys, 51.7% of respondents said they chose Lee. Kim Moon-soo, who represented the right-wing People Power party, got 39.3% and Lee Jun-seok, a minor party candidate, 7.7%.
Another exit poll by the Jtbc network assigns Lee 50.6% of the vote. Kim would stop at 39.4%.
