(Adnkronos) – The Russian Investigative Committee has accused the Ukrainian secret services of organizing a ”terrorist attack in Moscow”, which was foiled. As explained by the spokeswoman for the Russian Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, ”criminal proceedings have been opened against a suspect on charges of conspiracy to commit a terrorist attack. He has been indicted and the request for pre-trial detention has been accepted”.

The arrested man is a Russian citizen, Petrenko continues, who allegedly acted on instructions from the Ukrainian secret services, as explained by the Tass news agency. ”The suspect had planned to detonate an explosive device in a crowded public area,” Petrenko said.
