(Adnkronos) – In Austria, dozens of schools have received emails containing threats, in a wave of terror similar to the one that hit German schools last week. The Bavarian Criminal Police Office and the Hessian Criminal Police Office spoke of a nationally coordinated “campaign” or “phenomenon”. “In the last three days, more than 50 institutes have been affected, especially schools,” said Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, head of the Austrian Directorate General for Public Security (Dsn), during the presentation of the internal intelligence annual report in Vienna. According to the broadcaster Orf, several regional police spokespeople confirmed the bomb threats, although no suspicious objects have been found in the affected schools so far.
