UAE, record heat, over 50 degrees, never happened in May

(Adnkronos) – Record heat in the United Arab Emirates. The mercury column exceeded 50 degrees, reaching 50.4. And it had never happened in May since recordings began in 2003. “The highest temperature recorded today in the country is 50.4 degrees Celsius detected at 2.30 pm UAE time in Al Shawamekh (Abu Dhabi),” reads a post on X from the National Center of Meteorology.
