(Adnkronos) – An event on the ”humanitarian crises in the Middle East and North Africa” entitled ‘Transforming Pain into Purpose’ was underway at the Jewish Museum in Washington, outside of which the shooting took place that cost the lives of two members of the Israeli Embassy staff. The Times of Israel explains that the attack took place at the end of the reception for young diplomats of the American Jewish Committee.
The event was organized by the American Jewish Committee with the aim of ”giving Jewish leaders the tools to support the critical national and global issues that afflict the Jewish community”. The annual reception brings together young Jewish professionals between the ages of 22 and 45 and the diplomatic community.
