(Adnkronos) – An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck the island of Crete. According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake is located 58 kilometers northeast of Elounda, at a depth of 68.9 kilometers. The tremors were felt in the Peloponnese, the Cyclades and Cyprus. A tsunami warning was issued which did not occur.
