(Adnkronos) – During the talks that have just concluded in Istanbul, Russia asked Ukraine to cede new territories. This was stated to AFP by a Ukrainian diplomatic source, calling these requests “unacceptable” and aimed at derailing the negotiations.
“Russian representatives have made unacceptable demands that go beyond what was discussed before the meeting,” he said, adding that these include “the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from much of the Ukrainian territory under their control so that a ceasefire can be established.”
