(Adnkronos) – “In a few months we will be able to declare that we have won, Gaza will be completely destroyed”. This is the vision of Bezalel Smotrich, the far-right exponent who is the finance minister of the Netanyahu government, who predicts that in six months the Strip will be largely “empty” with the population “concentrated” near the southern border.
“In another six months Hamas will no longer exist as a functioning entity, the population of Gaza will be concentrated from the Morag corridor to the southwest. The rest of the Strip will be empty,” he continued speaking at the Settlements Conference, which took place in the settlement of Ofra, in the West Bank, reports the Times of Israel.
“The inhabitants of Gaza will be concentrated in the south, they will be completely desperate, understanding that there is no hope and nothing to look for in Gaza and they will want to be transferred to start a new life elsewhere”, is the conclusion of Smotrich who since October 7 has supported the construction of Israeli settlements in Gaza.
