Croatia: Italy eyes new energy partnerships

(Adnkronos) – Italy’s governments wants to forge “new economic partnerships” with Croatia, starting with the energy sector, foreign minister Antonio Tajani wrote Tuesday on X from a bilateral business forum in Zagreb. 

“In Zagreb together with foreign minister and friend Gordan Grlic Radman and economy minister Ante Susnjar,” Tajani wrote. 

“I brought together businesses Croatian and Italian businesses to promote new economic partnerships, starting with energy,” the post continued. 

“We presented a new Guide for Export and Growth in Croatia, to help businesses seize the opportunities offered by this market.”  

Croatia’s government is keen to further boost Italian investments in the country and is constantly seeking to improve the legislative framework, Radman said in an address to the business forum. 

Representatives of Italian airline ITA, state export credit agency Sace, service provider Simest, state lender CDP are also attending the forum as Rome seeks to boost bilateral trade now worth over 8 billion euros annually with a positive trade balance for Italy, said a foreign ministry statement.
