(Adnkronos) – Building new sports facilities can showcase the quality of Italy’s specialised sectors, which like Italian athletes also represent the country’s sporting prowess, foreign minister Antonio Tajani said on Monday.
“Sport is not only represented by championships but also by its infrastructure,” Tajani said in an address to the sports States General event organised by his centre-right Forza Italia party in Rome.
“By constructing new facilities we can spread awareness of the quality of our specialised sectors,” Tajani went on.
“We prove ourselves to be champions precisely through the quality we show all round – in competitions, but also by creating sports equipment, clothing, and more,” Tajani added.
