(Adnkronos) – US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to soften tariffs on imported cars and car components in the United States. While the 25 percent tariff on imported cars remains in effect, the White House is changing the tariffs so that they do not accumulate with other tariffs, such as those on steel and aluminum normally used for cars. Companies that complete car assembly in the United States will be able to benefit from some exemptions on tariffs on the import of car components for two years. “It’s a little help, a small transition,” the President anticipated yesterday before embarking on a direct flight to Michigan where he held a rally to celebrate the first 100 days of his first term.
