(Adnkronos) – Telephone, messaging and Internet services are back in the part of Greenland that was ‘isolated’ last night. Confirmation came from the local operator Tusass, which continues to evaluate a possible link with yesterday’s massive blackout in the Iberian Peninsula. Via Facebook, the operator indicated that “at 00.36 we were able to restore connections to Qaanaaq, Ittoqqortoormiit and Tasiilaq”.
“When we have a sufficiently precise idea” of the reasons for what happened, “we will communicate it”, they add, after indicating that they are working to establish possible links with the mega blackout recorded in Spain. Yesterday Tusass confirmed that it had lost contact with the equipment in Maspalomas, Spain, which allows satellite connections.
