(Adnkronos) – The blackout that is paralyzing Spain and Portugal was allegedly caused by “a rare atmospheric phenomenon” that occurred in Spain. This is what Ren, the Portuguese electricity company, announced, speaking of an “induced atmospheric vibration”, that is, “anomalous oscillations on the high voltage lines caused by extreme temperature variations”. Therefore, Ren states, the power outage in Portugal was the result “of a problem with the Spanish network”.
