Spain cancels purchase of ammunition from Israel

(Adnkronos) – Spain has unilaterally canceled a multi-million dollar contract for the purchase of bullets from an Israeli company, which had put the government coalition at risk, with Sumar siding against the socialists. Government sources reported this. 

After “having exhausted all avenues of negotiation”, the offices of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and Deputy Prime Minister Yolanda Diaz, a member of Sumar, as well as “the competent ministries, have decided to unilaterally cancel the ammunition purchase contract with the Israeli company Imi Systems”, the sources said.
