22 Aprile 2025

(Adnkronos) – TikTok “collaborates” with the investigation launched by the European Commission after the presidential elections canceled in Romania last December following alleged interference by Russia. This was reported by the EU spokesperson for Digital, Thomas Regnier, during the press briefing in Brussels. The Chinese social network, he adds, “has announced some changes on its part also regarding content moderation in Romania, using Romanian moderators, who will be more active during the next Romanian presidential elections”, which will be held on May 4 and 18, in two rounds. The Commission “continues its dialogue with TikTok and with the Romanian national authorities”, but the elections “are and remain a national competence”, concludes Regnier.
