(Adnkronos) – “The effective lifting of sanctions is our main request in the indirect negotiations with the United States”. This was stated by the spokeswoman for the Iranian government, Fatemeh Mohajerani, during her usual weekly press briefing.
Regarding the rumors about a possible transfer abroad of enriched uranium on Iranian territory, Mohajerani explained that while “other issues can be discussed, this is considered one of the red lines of the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
Mohajerani, reports the official Irna news agency, finally spoke about the role of Russia in the talks that should continue on Saturday in Oman. “The role of this country as a permanent member of the Security Council is very important,” explained the spokeswoman, stressing that close cooperation on nuclear power between Iran and Russia “will naturally have a significant impact on the negotiations”.
