18 Aprile 2025

(Adnkronos) – US forces have confirmed the “destruction” of the “Ras Issa oil port” in Yemen, “controlled by the Houthis”, which Iran has been accused of supporting for years. The Houthis, reads a post on X published in the last few hours by Centcom, “use fuel to support their military operations, as a weapon of control, and to reap economic benefits from the misappropriation of profits from imports”. “The objective of these attacks – adds the post – was to reduce the sources of economic power of the Houthis who continue to exploit and inflict great suffering on their fellow citizens”. There are no other details on the operation. According to al-Masirah TV, the mouthpiece of the Houthis, at least 38 people were killed and more than 100 injured in the attack.
