9 Aprile 2025

(Adnkronos) – The future German government will “largely end irregular immigration”, with strict border controls and a “repatriation offensive” that will affect those who are in Germany illegally. This was stated by Chancellor-designate Friedrich Merz, illustrating the details of the government agreement reached between the conservatives of the Cdu/Csu and the Social Democrats of the Spd.

“There will be checks at national borders and we will also reject asylum seekers,” he said during a press conference in Berlin.
