(Adnkronos) – The UN’s Internation Organisation for Migration has thanked Italy’s embassy in Bosnia-Herzegovina and its overseas development agency AICS for their support in helping IOM aid communities hit by floods and landslides in the autumn.
“#IOMBIH is on the ground aiding communities hit by floods & landslides. Partnering with local institutions in Konjic, we’ve launched a psychosocial support programme,” IOM wrote on X.
“Our experts host daily meetings to boost mental health. Grateful to @eubih, @italyinbih, & @aics_it for support!”
Konjic some 60 kilometres southwest of Sarjevo is the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, which was hit hardest by devastating floods and landslides that swept across Bosnia in October, killing at least 20.
