(Adnkronos) – Poland has asked the United States to transfer nuclear weapons to its territory as a deterrent against possible future aggression by Russia. This was stated by Polish President Andrzej Duda in an interview with the Financial Times, explaining that Poland would be more secure if nuclear weapons were present on its territory.
“NATO’s borders moved east in 1999, so 26 years later there should also be a shift of NATO infrastructure to the east. To me this is obvious,” Duda said. The Polish president made his request to US President Donald Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg.
