(Adnkronos) – All the people who were taken hostage by the separatists of the Baluchistan Liberation Army yesterday in southwestern Pakistan have been released. This was stated by an Islamabad army officer to Afp adding that 28 soldiers were killed.
“346 hostages were freed and over 30 terrorists were killed during the operation,” the source said, explaining that 27 off-duty soldiers traveling on the attacked train were killed by the militants. Another Pakistani soldier was killed during the operation.
The attacked train was headed for Peshawar after leaving Quetta, in Baluchistan province, where it was intercepted by gunmen.
