(Adnkronos) – The death toll from clashes between the new Syrian security forces and men loyal to deposed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Latakia, northwestern Syria, has risen to 147. This was reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which stressed that 69 members of the Alawite minority were ”executed in the towns of Al-Shir and Al-Mukhtariya in the Latakia countryside”.
