France, chaos at Gare du Nord, World War II bomb stops trains

7 Marzo 2025

(Adnkronos) – Chaos in rail connections in Paris. Total stop for Gare du Nord, with rail traffic interrupted on arrival and departure after the discovery “along the tracks” of an unexploded ordnance from the Second World War near Gare du Nord, in the Saint-Denis area. It was found about 2.5 kilometers from the station during work in progress last night. And, therefore, no Tgv, the high speed, nor Eurostar trains.

Gare du Nord, according to data from the French railways (Sncf), is one of the busiest stations in Europe. More than 226 million travelers passed through here last year alone. And this morning there was chaos at the station.
