(Adnkronos) – Italy’s ambassador to Iraq Niccolo Fontana and national police commander Major General Hussein al-Awadi held talks in Baghdad on Thursday that looked at ways of boosting longterm law-enforcement cooperation.
“Since its foundation Iraq’s Federal Police has been playing a crucial role in promoting a safer Iraq supported by Italy’s @Carabinieri,” the embassy wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Amb. @niccoloffontana was delighted to meet ComFedPol Gen. Hussein to strengthen the long standing partnership between Italy and Iraq’s FedPol.,” the post added.
