China’s retaliation, tariffs on US products and companies on the ‘black list’

4 Marzo 2025

(Adnkronos) – Retaliation by China after Donald Trump’s decision to impose additional tariffs of 10% on Chinese goods. Beijing, reports the Global Times, has announced tariffs of 15% starting March 10 that hit imports from the US with the agri-food sector in its sights, from chicken to wheat, from corn to cotton. Duties of 10% were also decided for sorghum, soybeans, pork, beef, fruit, vegetables and dairy products.

Furthermore, the Global Times reports, the Asian giant’s Ministry of Commerce reported the inclusion of 15 US “entities” on an “export control list” and another ten US companies on the list of “unreliable entities” motivating the decision with “arms sales to Taiwan” or the “so-called military-technical cooperation” with the de facto independent island that Beijing considers a “rebel province” to be “reunified”.
