(Adnkronos) – Sudan risks hundreds of thousands of deaths if the devastating war in the country does not end and aid does not arrive. This was stated by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk speaking at the Human Rights Council. “We are staring into the abyss,” he added. “Humanitarian agencies are warning that without action to end the war, provide emergency aid and revive agriculture, hundreds of thousands of people could die.”
