Yoon, ‘Insurrection? It’s a plan to frame me’

(Adnkronos) – South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol, who was suspended from office after imposing martial law in December, which was soon revoked, has rejected accusations of “insurrection”. “The opposition claims that I imposed martial law to establish a dictatorship and extend my power,” Yoon said before the Constitutional Court in Seoul. “This is a plan specifically designed to frame me for insurrection.” Today’s hearing is the last in the impeachment proceedings against Yoon.
