(Adnkronos) – Italy’s foreign minister Antonio Tajani on Tuesday dismissed the possibility of putting troops on the ground in war-ravaged Ukraine.
”There has never been talk of troops, and I don’t think it is useful to send European or Nato troops to Ukraine,” Tajani told reporters at Italy’s parliament.
“If a buffer zone is to be created, troops must be sent under the flag of the United Nations, and in this case there may also be Italian availability, as there is for Palestine, but only on condition of shared responsibility,” he said.
