(Adnkronos) – Robert Habeck announces his intention to leave the leadership of the Greens, after the party’s flop in yesterday’s vote. “I will no longer claim or aspire to a leadership role in the hierarchy of the Green Party,” said the outgoing vice-chancellor, acknowledging that the election result “is not positive, I wanted more, we wanted more.” The Greens, who are part of the governing coalition led by Olaf Scholz, won 11.6% of the vote, compared to 14.7% four years ago.
