(Adnkronos) – “You can’t take our country, and you can’t take our game.” This is how Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau celebrated on X the 3-2 overtime victory of the Canadian national hockey team over the United States, in the highly anticipated final of the 4 Nations Face Off held at the TD Garden in Boston.
In the hours leading up to the game, US President Donald Trump had announced that he would be watching the game against what “one day, maybe soon, will become our beloved, and very important, Fifty-First State,” he wrote on Truth. At the end of the game, Trudeau, whom the tycoon had called “governor of Canada” in his post, responded.
