(Adnkronos) – Slight decline for the conservative bloc Cdu-Csu and the Social Democrats, Spd, in the latest poll conducted by Forsa for RTL/ntv ahead of Sunday’s vote for the renewal of the German Bundestag: the two groups lose one percentage point and drop respectively to 29% and 15%, while the Greens remain stable at 13%.
The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, on the other hand, increased its share by one point, reaching 21% and consolidating its position in second place. Support for the Left Party (Die Linke) – on the far left of the political spectrum – also increased by one point, exceeding 8%.
The Liberals (Fdp), and Sahra Wagenknecht’s populist Alliance (Bsw), which advocates for a mix of left-wing economic policies and anti-immigration stances, could both fail to enter parliament: the Forsa poll puts them at 5% and 3% respectively.
