(Adnkronos) – Oded Lifshitz, whose body was handed over to Israeli authorities today, was killed by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad while being held hostage in the Gaza Strip. The IDF reports.
Lifshitz, 83, was a peace activist and one of the founders of Kibbutz Nir Oz. He was kidnapped from his home on 7 October 2023. His wife Yocheved was kidnapped separately and released 16 days later, in November 2023.
