Canada, plane crash in Toronto, injured rise to 18

(Adnkronos) – The number of people injured in a plane crash yesterday at Toronto airport, where a Delta Airlines plane with 80 people on board overturned during landing, has risen to 18. This was reported by the American airline, according to which “initial information indicates that there are no victims and that the 18 injured passengers have been transported to hospital.” Taking off from Minneapolis, the CRJ900 operated by Endeavor Air was involved “in an accident during landing” at Toronto Pearson International Airport, at a time when “the runway was dry and there were no crosswind conditions,” explained the airport’s fire chief, Todd Aitken, stating that “the causes are still being investigated.”
