(Adnkronos) – A shocking video has been circulating on TikTok showing two Australian nurses from Bankstown Hospital in Sydney threatening to kill Jewish patients, or at least not provide them with the necessary care. ”A disgusting and shameful video”, as Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called it, while the Ministry of Health has ”immediately suspended” the two nurses, identified by Australian media as Ahmad Rashad Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh. Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke also condemned the video as “as chilling as it is vile”.
Meanwhile, New South Wales Health Minister Ryan Park has ordered an investigation, which is being handled by the police. “The whole video, from start to finish, worries me. The fact that they chose to do it in their gowns, that they chose to do it while they were supposed to be caring for patients,” Park said, speaking of “vile, disgusting and frightening” behaviour. During a press conference, the minister apologised to the Jewish community and wanted to reassure them that “the care you will receive in our hospitals will continue to be first class”.
