(Adnkronos) – Ecuador’s President Daniel Noboa has denounced alleged “irregularities” in the first round of the presidential elections, in which he won by a narrow margin over leftist rival Luisa Gonzalez, with whom he will go to a runoff.
“There have been many irregularities and we continue to count them,” Noboa told a local radio station, adding that his team provided him with “higher numbers” of votes he would have received.
