Kosovo, Kurti’s party wins with over 40%, but a coalition government will be needed

(Adnkronos) – The party of Kosovar Prime Minister Albin Kurti is on course to win the most seats in Kosovo’s parliamentary elections. This was stated by the electoral commission, while specifying that the numbers are not enough to form a government majority. 

Kurti’s Vetevendosje (“Self-Determination”) party (Vv) is on course to win about 41% of the vote with over 90% of the votes counted, according to commission data. The centre-right Democratic Party of Kosovo (Pdk) came second with 22% of the vote, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo (Ldk) with 17%.
