Tunisia, president appoints new Finance Minister

(Adnkronos) – Kais Saied changes his Finance Minister. Tunisian media reported overnight the decision of the Tunisian president to appoint Michket Slama Khaldi as the new head of the department. The presidency confirmed that she was sworn in at the Carthage Palace. 

Khaldi, a magistrate, takes over from Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia, who had held the post since 2021. There are no details on the reasons for Saied’s choice. Khaldi headed the ‘National Committee for Criminal Reconciliation’.
