(Adnkronos) – French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou survived the first no-confidence motion voted against him for resorting to Article 49.3 of the Constitution to pass the state budget. This was announced by the spokesman of the French National Assembly, explaining that the motion of censure was voted only by 128 deputies, against the 288 needed.
The state budget was therefore approved by the National Assembly. Next Thursday it will be the turn of the Senate to vote and it is expected to approve it. Bfmtv broadcaster reports.
