(Adnkronos) – The Peruvian government will offer “facilitations” for Peruvian citizens who will be deported from the United States, where the Trump administration has started repatriating thousands of undocumented immigrants. “Peruvians who return in this situation – said Foreign Minister Elmer Schialer – will have the facilities they need to reintegrate into the country”, including access to medical care and professional training.
Quoted by Latina Television, the minister defended the “right” of each country “that does not want to keep people who have broken the law in their country”, regardless of the type of violation. According to Schaifer, about one million Peruvians live in the United States, 300,000 of whom are in an irregular situation.
