(Adnkronos) – China is willing to work with the United States to promote the development of bilateral economic and trade relations in a ”stable, healthy and sustainable” direction, based on the principles of ”mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial cooperation”. This was stated by the spokesman of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce He Yadong during a press conference, as reported by the Global Times.
Stressing that the Chinese Ministry of Commerce has always maintained open communications with the competent US authorities, He said that ”the essence of economic relations between the United States and China lies in achieving mutually beneficial results”.
Finally, He stated that ”China hopes that, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the parties will strengthen dialogue and communication, manage differences appropriately, expand mutually beneficial cooperation and promote the stable and healthy development of economic and trade relations between China and the United States”.
