(Adnkronos) – “The administration, like the rest of the country, has awaited the decision just made by the Supreme Court on TikTok. Given the sheer question of timing, this administration recognizes that enforcement must fall to the next administration, which takes office on Monday.” White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said it will be up to the Donald Trump administration to enforce the law banning TikTok, which was upheld today by the high court.
“President Biden’s position on TikTok has been clear for months, since Congress sent to his desk a law passed with overwhelming support – the spokeswoman concludes – TikTok must remain available to Americans but under U.S. or other ownership that addresses the national security concerns highlighted by the law.”
