(Adnkronos) – Egypt fears ‘the day after the war’ in the Gaza Strip, stating that the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) will have to make concessions to Hamas in the name of Palestinian unity. This is what the Lebanese daily al-Akhbar writes, citing Egyptian sources. ”What has been achieved is the best thing, for now”, the Egyptian sources added.
Egyptian officials therefore believe that the success of the agreement in the Gaza Strip is linked primarily to internal Palestinian understandings, in addition to Arab and regional moves that guarantee the complete Israeli withdrawal from the enclave and its reconstruction in order to allow a better life for its residents.
