(Adnkronos) – The Venezuelan government has denounced an attack on its diplomatic headquarters in Oslo, which it believes was committed by “fascist elements”, and has rebuked the Norwegian authorities for the lack of security.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil reported that the headquarters was “invaded and vandalized” by a group of “fascists” who made “clear whose interests they respond to”, he wrote on his Telegram account. “The responsibility for the inviolability of diplomatic offices lies with the host state, we hope that the authorities will immediately find those responsible for these attacks – urged Gil – The country and the world are aware of who these unscrupulous fascists are, capable of attacking the interests of the Venezuelan people”.

Following the inauguration of Nicolás Maduro on January 10, there have been several attacks on Venezuelan diplomatic offices around the world, the most recent of which took place at the consulate in Lisbon, where the attackers launched “incendiary bombs”.
