(Adnkronos) – Italy and Slovakia intend to deepen all-round cooperation and to bolster their friendly ties, president Sergio Mattarella told Slovak counterpart Peter Pellegrini during talks in Rome on Tuesday.
“Your presence in Italy is an honour for our Republic, and it is a great pleasure for me to welcome you and your delegation and to underline the friendship that binds Slovakia and Italy,” Mattarella told Pellegrini.
“There is common intention to increase our collaboration in every sector and area: economic, political and cultural thus furthering cooperation between our countries,” Mattarella said.
Earlier, Pellegrini held talks with Italy’s premier Giorgia Meloni at the prime minister’s office, Palazzo Chigi, according to a statement.
