Nigeria, jihadist raid in the northeast, at least 40 farmers killed

(Adnkronos) – At least 40 farmers were killed by jihadists in Borno State, in northeastern Nigeria, the epicenter of the jihadist insurgency by Boko Haram and its rival Islamic State in West Africa. This was announced by Usman Tar, Information Commissioner for Borno State. 

Late Sunday, fighters from the Islamic State in West Africa (Iswap) rounded up dozens of farmers in the town of Dumba, on the shores of Lake Chad, and killed them, Tar said.
