(Adnkronos) – ”The Tehran army has obtained a thousand new drones”. This is reported by the Tasnim news agency, explaining that the new drones have been ”deployed in various locations in Iran” and intended for the ”land, naval and air forces”. The drones, the agency continues, have as their ”common characteristic the fact that they have a range of over two thousand kilometers, great destructive power, and the ability to pass through defense lines”.

Quoted by Irna, General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, commander of the Iranian army, said that ”the army currently has a separate unit that carries out missions with drones and there is the possibility that an independent force dedicated to drones will be formed in the future”.
