(Adnkronos) – Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello has confirmed the arrest of former presidential candidate Enrique Márquez and Rafael Tudares, son-in-law of opposition leader Edmundo González, on charges of organizing a ceremony for the latter’s inauguration as president of the country. Nicolas Maduro is meanwhile preparing to be sworn in tomorrow for his third term as president, after the disputed July 28 elections which, according to part of the international community, were won by the opposition candidate. And Gonzalez, who left Spain in recent days, continues to repeat that on January 10 he will reach Venezuela for the oath “by any means possible”, even “by bicycle”.
